if you don't hear from me, the soap has eaten me!

Soap to the right, soap to the left, soap everywhere. Give me a few more days of producing at this rate and there will no longer be any free surfaces in my apartment. And I'm loving it! I have been cooped up making soap and listening to cheesy music since Friday. Unfortunately, I have to get back to the real world tomorrow morning. But I really am loving this return to soaping, to creating, to having my living space covered in cellophane and botanicals (ok, maybe I could do without that last part).

I know part of this feeling of elation in regards to Dot & Lil will fade as pressure mounts towards holiday shows. But I think I also just feel right now like I can see it, I can see how this could work on a larger scale, this little company of mine. That gets lost a lot of the time, because it's just me and it is, I assure you, very hard to give yourself a good pep talk! But I am choosing to think positively, to stay focused on my goals, to be productive. I am choosing to do what I love.

You know what I don't love? WRAPPING SOAP. Now please excuse me while I go sniff the new batch of satsuma soap for the 20th time today.
