This Blood Orange soap is simple but decadent with its dramatic dark red marbled look and fresh, ripe citrus smell with a twist. What is a blood orange? Blood oranges are a variety of oranges mainly grown in Italy, that have a dramatic dark crimson red interior. Sweeter and more mellow than a regular orange, they sometimes have light, subtle flavors of ripe strawberries or raspberries.
Growing up, my mother told me stories of my Italian grandfather's quest to find blood oranges in his adoptive Canada, and his nostalgia when he finally found them. Sharing a blood orange with her father seemed like the most special thing in the world to her as a little girl. So, this Blood Orange soap is for my Nonno!
Dot & Lil soap is made from an all-vegetable oil and glycerin base. This Blood Orange soap is entirely vegan and scented with essential oils. Like all Dot & Lil soaps, it has plenty of lather and lasts a long time!
